Six days and counting

The election is in 6 days. I don't think things are going to shape up well. I have to wonder, though. How can so many people be wrong? I'm so convinced that my viewpoint is right, I'm having a hard time understand how so many people can land on the other side. I think some people really just don't know about the way things work. I'm certainly not an expert, but I feel like I enough knowledge and understanding to have a solidly supported position that I can defend. But I'm sure there are many people who feel the same about the other side! As a Christian, I believe that their in absolute Truth; that there is right and wrong, not degrees in between. Yet there are Christians whose positions fall exactly opposite of mine. How does that work?!?!?

  1. I have never felt so strongly about voting than I do this year. I am honestly fearful of Obama winning this election for a number of reasons. I am not sure how many people know this but one of the first things he plans to put into motion is the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child. It sounds all fantastic and everything like it will protect our children but actually it strips us as parents of every being able to teach our children about God, the right to Homeschool, and to restrict what our children can and can not do. This quote was taken straight off the website that describes exactly what they believe and satnd for: "Children are neither the property of their parents nor are they helpless objects of charity. They are human beings and are the subject of their own rights. The Convention offers a vision of the child as an individual and as a member of a family and community, with rights and responsibilities appropriate to his or her age and stage of development. By recognizing children's rights in this way, the Convention firmly sets the focus on the whole child." This specifically states that parents have no rights when it comes to their children and in an actual court case (unsure of the details) a child did not want to go to church and told his/her school counselor about it and that child was removed out of the home and put into Child Protective Services!!!! Can you believe that?? This ACTUALLY happened! This is what Barack Obama supports! He is taking away all of our rights as parents and Christians! Please don't let this happen!
